Students at the Brisbane Water Secondary College have achieved results in the NAPLAN tests which indicate improvement at a rate significantly greater than the state average.
The percentage of students in the top three bands of achievement for numeracy, spelling, grammar and punctuation and reading at least doubled from Year 7 in 2009 to Year 9 in 2011.
The percentage of Year 9 students in the top three bands within each area are 27 per cent in numeracy, 45 per cent in spelling, 36 per cent in grammar and punctuation and 34 per cent in reading.
