Guest speakers were highlights for principal

Ettalong Public School relieving principal Ms Lynn Balfour has attended the ConnectEd Conference for principals.

The conference on Thursday and Friday, May 19 and 20, provided Ms Balfour with an opportunity to share ideas with other school principals.

"Workshops on various topics were interesting and informative but the highlights for me were the interesting stories of two guest speakers, Mark Donaldson VC and Dr Karl Kruszelnicki," Ms Balfour said.

"It is obvious why Dr Karl has chosen to be a scientist as he appears to have a brain the size of a planet," she said.

"Mark Donaldson's story is touching and inspiring and while he didn't mention the name of his autobiography, I intend purchasing a copy of his book, The Crossroad," she said.
