Peninsula Village holds dinner for volunteers

Peninsula Village celebrated its volunteer staff in conjunction with national Volunteer Week at an appreciation dinner and presentation at the Empire Bay Tavern on May 10.

Peninsula Village has over 100 volunteers who provide their time and support to the village across many activities ranging from medical escorts, delivering community meals, wheelchair walks, bus drivers, assistance with activity programs both physical and resident outings, entertainment, assisting residents in the nursing home at meal time and much more.

Executive assistant Ms Melanie Morell said: "It takes a special person to be a volunteer."
