Reading resources room transformed
The Kindergarten to Year 2 reading resources room at Ettalong Public School is currently undergoing a transformation.
The goal is to give teachers efficient access to books for use in guided reading programs.
A lUmina hardware store has provided discounted shelving for the project.
Every term children in Years 3 to 6 are given a free book of their own choice by a book retailer.
The books are shared among classmates for the term and then taken home by the original owner to keep.
"I cannot stress enough how fortunate we are to have this wonderful program in our school," said relieving principal Ms Lynn Balfour.
