Bridge named after Robert Payne

The 40th anniversary of the Pearl Beach Arboretum was celebrated on August 21.

Special mention was made of ecologist Mr Robert Payne's four decades of contribution towards the arboretum.

In recognition of Mr Payne's work, the newly-renovated bridge near the cottage was opened during the celebration and was named the Robert Payne Bridge.

A crowd of residents attended the event which had music and food on offer.
