Textile artworks on display
The Patonga 24x7 Visitors Art Space will be displaying work, arranged and curated by local Patonga textile artist Diana Perlowski, next month.
The exhibition will feature works by Ms Perlowski, the Embroiderers Guild of NSW and the Lateral Stitchers Group and will feature contemporary creative embroidery and textiles.
The works on exhibition were created using a variety of techniques with backgrounds that may have been hand painted, printed, monoprinted or dyed.
"Artists often begin with sketch books to record and research topics which are then manipulated and changed to achieve the final design," said Ms Perlowski.
"Inspiration may be taken from the local environment, personal experiences or photographs," she said.
