Tesch attends selection camp

Woy Woy resident Ms Liesl Tesch began a four-day training and selection camp at the Australian Institute of Sport recently.

The Australian five-time wheelchair basketball Paralympian joined eight members of the Glider's bronze medal winning team from the Beijing Paralympics as part of a squad with no debutantes.

Fresh off competing in the Sydney-to-Hobart Yacht Race, Ms Tesch is the most experienced of the athletes.

Basketball Australia, along with head coach John Triscari, will select a team after the conclusion of the camp to contest this year's Osaka Cup from February 18 to 20 in Japan.

Beijing gold medallist USA, Australia, Canada (fourth in Beijing) and host nation Japan (fifth in Beijing) make up a strong four-nation tournament.
