Award for excellence

Woy Woy resident Ms Laura Chapman has received an award for excellence in study combined with community service at a dinner held by Central Coast Campus Friends on 5 April.

Ms Chapman completed Certificate IV in training and assessment last year while working as a volunteer with the Rural Fire Service and caring for her three children as a single mother.

"Being a mature-age student with many family and other demands isn't easy" said Ms Chapman.

"However, I decided I needed to learn more, not only for my own development, but also to show to my children that study is rewarding and success achievable."
