Students participate in 'Aim lessons'

All students at Umina campus of Brisbane Water Secondary College are attending lessons designed to prepare them for school and life beyond.

"All students are participating in Aim lessons this year," said campus principal Ms Kerrie O'Heir.

"The purpose of Aim lessons is to ensure students have the skills required to achieve their very best in all aspects of their schooling, and to prepare them for the world beyond school."

During Term One, the lessons have focused on whole school routines, on mobile phones, uniform and attendance and on the school's core values.

Other lessons covered learning and personal goals, cyberbullying ("Bystander to Upstander") and leadership.
