Bowling club thanks president and officers

Umina Beach Men's Bowling Club held its President and Officers' Day on Saturday, August 12.

The day was held "to say thank you to president Tom Burgmann and the committee for all the work they put in on behalf of our club in the past 12 months", said secretary Mr Peter Springett.

"It was a sensational afternoon, with a great update message from president Tom, toasts to our guests."

These include Bowls Central Coast secretary Doug Rose, Dennis Holden from Ettalong Bowling Club, Brandon Willmette and Kel Price from Gosford Bowling Club, as well as Umina Beach Women's Bowling Club president Gale Hill.

"We then had a great lunch, made use of the drink ticket, presented some awards and then enjoyed a great game of bowls and friendship in the sun."

The Bowls Central Coast brooch winners were Jan Ellery and Lorraine Rynehart.

Bowls Central Coast named tie pins were presented to Don Stephens and Ian Jarratt.

Bowls Central Coast Merit Awards went to Robin Hill and Lee Cribbs.
