Replace bureaucrats with workers, or forget the charade

Petrol price rip offs continue on the Peninsula.

Recently I attended a birthday party at Long Jetty.

Knowing that the petrol on the Peninsula is rather over-priced I only bought ice from the Caltex under Blackwall Mountain.

The price for unleaded was $1.362 per litre.

I was approaching the Caltex at Forrester's Beach and nearly had a heart attack.

The same petrol, $1.169.

As I said, I knew we were being ripped off, but that is ridiculous.

Can anyone explain how this exorbitant difference can be justified?

I realise that our local Member, Lucy Wicks, has our best interests at heart and she and her staff work non-stop for us, but this is blatant price gouging and no-one does anything about it.

What is the use of all these totally useless public servants with highfalutin titles and phone book number salaries sitting in Sydney and Canberra doing nothing?

They wring their hands like Uriah Heap telling us about the wonders they perform, while actually achieving absolutely zilch.

We all know the petrol companies are sacrosanct.

They can do no evil and we must ensure their directors live on the fat of the land while their billions of dollars in profits go to their overseas masters.

That is the way of the world.

No political party has ever had the guts to make them toe the line.

If Mike and Mal (no, not the Leyland Brothers) want to save a few millions either sack those who are there now and replace them with fair dinkum workers or forget the charade and just abolish these wasters of our hard earned taxes.
