TKT has double celebration at netball centre opening
TKT Ocean Beach Netball Club won the best club overall in the opening parade of Woy Woy Peninsula Netball Association at its new Lemon Grove netball centre on Saturday, April 29.
It was a double celebration for the club which was also celebrating its 25th year.
"TKT has four Net-Set-Go modified-rules teams, three junior teams, one cadet and three senior teams this year with over 100 members," said club president Ms Michelle Giaquinto.
"Growing stronger every year, TKT Ocean Beach Netball Club originated after a decision to break away from an existing club to develop more competition within the Woy Woy Peninsula Netball Association back in 1998."
Long-time TKT member Joanne Ely was presented with life membership of the association on the day.
Ms Giaquinto said it was a fitting and well-deserved reward and acknowledgement for her outstanding service to local community through her volunteering at club level and many years for the association.
