Liesl Tesch 'turns the sod' for disability housing

Member for Gosford Ms Liesl Tesch has attended the launch of a "specialist disability accommodation" project in Woy Woy.

"I joined two future residents to 'turn the sod' at the fabulous future 4-unit disability housing property in Bowden Rd, Woy Woy," she said.

"Thanks ever so much to Canopy SDA who are doing a fantastic job developing dignified, quality housing for people with a disability across NSW."

Canopy SDA chief executive Mr Adam Strong said he loved having Ms Tesch at the ground-breaking ceremony.

"To say she was inspiring for our whole team was an understatement," he said.

Mr Strong said Canopy SDA existed "to provide a service that will guide you through Specialist Disability Accommodation to a personal sanctuary, a beautiful, healthy, purpose-built home that will change your life, a place you'll love and be proud to call home".

"Our design range has been specifically developed to align with the NDIS SDA funding strategy which cover houses, group homes, apartments and villas," he said.

Mr Strong said the Woy Woy build would be "turning dreams into reality".

"There's something truly magical about waking up near the beach every day," he said.

"The soothing sound of crashing waves and the salty breeze filling the air.

"It's a paradise right at your doorstep.

"But it's not just about the beach life; it's about embracing serenity, freedom, and happiness in every moment.

"From morning wanders to the beach to sunset picnics with loved ones, Woy Woy offers an unparalleled sense of tranquility and joy."
