Activities broaden at aged care home

Activities at a local aged care home are starting to broaden with a combination of good weather, new courtyards and a relaxation of coronavirus restrictions.

"It is lovely to see our residents enjoying the sunshine and participating in our bus outings around our beautiful region," said Blue Wave Living chief executive Mr Matt Downie.

"Our bus outings are very popular.

"The hydrotherapy pool activity has re-introduced recently after a long break due to Covid restrictions.

"We also look forward to residents to begin to use some of our new courtyard spaces, as the weather warms up, which feature a variety of raised garden beds, making it easy for residents to access and potter about in.

"The new courtyards on the western side will be completed by late September and will open up some time in October," he said.
