Netball association starts finals series
Woy Woy Peninsula Netball Association started its final series for the winter netball season last Saturday.
The association's regular competition of 15 rounds finished on August 26.
Following two weeks of preliminary finals, the grand finals will be held on Saturday, September 16, with eight teams crowned premiers in their respective grades.
Association's public relations officer Mr Alex Marshall said: "We had no washouts through the season and our fingers are crossed for a continuation of the great weather."
"All five association clubs will be represented in the finals from the 11's to Senior 1 Division. "Our finals series for Senior 1 Division also includes two independent teams, Fever and Rays.
Mr Marshall said: "Overall it has been a great season that started in late April with the opening of our new clubhouse and facilities at Lemon Grove netball courts in Ettalong."
