Two automatic restaurant fire alarms in three days

The Pearl Beach fire brigade has had two false alarms from automatic fire alarms at local restaurants in the space of three days.

Both the Pearl Beach Brigade and Patonga Volunteer Rural Bush Fire Brigade were called out for an Automatic Fire Alarm activation at Pearlie's at 5:40pm on Saturday, August 26.

The Pearl Beach crew arrived on scene shortly after receiving the call, and investigated.

No sign of fire was found.

The alarm was reset and the crew returned home.

Four crews responded to an automatic fire alarm activation at Amalfi, formerly Pearls On The Beach, at 11pm on Monday, August 28.

Pearl Beach Brigade, Patonga Volunteer Rural Bush Fire Brigade and The Bays Rural Fire Brigade were called out along with Fire and Rescue NSW Station 340 Umina to attend.

The Pearl Beach crew waw quickly on site, arriving at the same time as the Fire and Rescue NSW crew.

After investigations failed to reveal any signs of smoke or fire, the reinforcements from Patonga and The Bays were called off, and all crews returned to their stations.
