Woy Woy defeated 73-0 in last game of rugby season

Woy Woy was defeated by Hornsby 73-nil in its last game of the rugby season at Woy Woy Oval on Saturday, August 26.

"It was one way traffic for much of the match," said Central Coast Rugby Union publicity officer Mr Larry Thomson.

"Hornsby started the match well and maintained possession and territory for much of the 80 minutes.

"Hornsby went point per minute in the first half and went to the halftime break leading by 42 points to nil.

"Woy Woy had no answer to the onslaught despite their best efforts.

"Hornsby continued to dominate in the second half and were able to post a further 31 points in the second half."

Woy Woy's best performers were flanker Casey Woodford, winger Max Stride and five-eight Alex Moore.
