Marine Rescue answers two calls for assistance
Marine Rescue NSW Central Coast received two calls for assistance on the weekend of February 27 and 28.
On the Saturday, rescue vessel Central Coast 21, under the command of volunteer skipper Mr Bob Sullivan, made its way to Lobster Beach to assist a 3.4 metre runabout with two people aboard.
The couple's runabout had experienced mechanical issues and they requested a tow to Lion's Park at Woy Woy.
The long tow was completed at around 7pm.
At around 5pm, Central Coast 21, under the command of skipper Mr Anthony Porter, was sent to the southern end of Paddy's Channel to assist an 8.4m yacht.
The vessel's crew had radioed for help and the craft was towed to Booker Bay.
They reported that the wind had died and that they were making no progress under motor power.
It was thought that the propeller was fouled, or had marine growth.
