Songwriters conference planned for June

The Australian Songwriters Conference will be held at the Ettalong Beach Tourist Resort on the June long weekend.

The conference is open to all ages, all genres and all skill levels and will focus on the craft and business of song writing.

The Australian Songwriters Conference has been described as a "must do for anyone serious about making a career as an original artist or professional songwriter".

Successful songwriters and music industry executives will discuss their writing, publishing and production.

"Seminars, talks and workshops will teach the secrets of hit songwriting from the best in the business," said Australian Songwriters Conference founder and coordinator Ms Lisa Butler.

Ms Butler said the conference will also provide a "truly unique opportunity for attendees to pitch their songs directly to the publishers".

The four-day event will also include onsite recording and production, live showcases, and exclusive song contest and opportunities to network with industry professionals and hit songwriters, according to Ms Butler.

Those attending will be able to work with producers in an on-site studio, as well as perform original material to the pros, attendees and the public.
