Attacking the messenger

Mr Colin Williams relies on attacking the messenger rather than appropriately addressing Dr Van Davy's message (PN, 22 Feb 2016).

Mr Williams states that a "legitimate rebuttal of Dr Van Davy's claims would occupy more space than this worthy journal could provide" and then proceeds to malign Dr Van Davy with a lengthy ad hominem attack.

If indeed the wealthy pay more GST than the pensioner and the average worker, it is because they are consumers of more goods and services!
