Students invited to submit 90-second video speech
Students in Years 10, 11 and 12 are being invited to take part in a competition to win the opportunity to deliver a 90-second speech in Parliament House, Canberra.
Member for Robertson Dr Gordon Reid said this national competition challenged students to see themselves as newly-elected members of parliament and record a 90-second speech on video, on a topic of their choosing.
"The winners, accompanied by a parent or guardian, will be flown to Canberra to deliver their speeches live at Parliament House and participate in an engaging program tailored to deepen their understanding of the legislative process," said Dr Reid.
Entries may be submitted via the competition website at www.aph.gov.au/myfirstspeech.
