Bad weather for Ducks

The Peninsula Ducks Softball Club were unable to play at the weekend after the Central Coast Softball Association cancelled all games "due to continuing rain".

The association announced on Saturday, October 28: "Due to continuing rain overnight and this morning the grounds are too wet to play.

"All games are off."

The previous night the association explained: "Where inclement weather has been prevalent in the days leading up to the day of play, an inspection of the ground is required at 6:45 am onthe day of play to determine the ground conditions.

"Games are to be moved from Diamonds 1 and 2 to temporary grass diamonds in the first instance.

"Only when the ground condition is likely to cause injury or significant damage to the playing surface are games to be suspended or abandoned.

"Conditions are to be monitored throughout the day to determine ground conditions.

"At this stage, all games are on."
