Hopes for positive response to road safety concerns

The Bays Community Group is hoping for "positive responses" to safety concerns it has raised with Central Coast Council staff.

"Committee representatives met in late September with Council to discuss and inspect the many road safety issues pointed out by local residents," said president Ms Carolina Schuiling.

"As a result, Council staff are now investigating all these matters and will respond to the committee in due course with hopefully some positive responses."

Ms Schuiling said residents were seeking a reduction in the 50kph road speed limit, especially with pedestrians having to share the narrow road carriageways with vehicles.

"Numerous safety concerns were also brought to the committees' attention following a recent request for community input into other road safety concerns."
