Five Council documents may be open for comment
Five Central Coast Council documents are expected to be placed on public exhibition for comment tomorrow prior to later adoption.
A Central Coast "thematic history", a night-time economy discussion paper, a local approvals policy, an outdoor trading specification and a regulatory policy will all be placed on exhibition for public comment if recommendations before tomorrow night's council meeting are approved.
The thematic history was a "high priority action" recommended in the Central Coast Heritage Gap Analysis and Action Plan, according to a report in the council meeting agenda.
The night -time economy discussion paper is said to "provide a strategic framework with potential projects identified for the long-term development and growth of the night-time economy across all towns on the Central Coast".
The local approvals policy will apply to activities including the installation of moveable dwellings and caravans, the construction of stormwater drainage, management of waste, activities on community land, installation of wood heaters, and mobile food vehicles on road reserves.
The outdoor trading specification "is intended to supersede the existing policies and result in a single document that achieves consistent and high-quality outcomes for outdoor vending and outdoor dining, including their ancillary structures".
The draft regulatory policy "keeps important elements from the current policy whilst ensuring it is modernised and fit for purposes".
"The development of the draft policy has also identified that a number of existing policies could be rescinded and replaced with advisory material in a more simplified and accessible manner."
