Monet's birthday celebrated by aged care residents
The birthday of French impressionist artist Claude Monet was celebrated on Tuesday, November 14, at a local aged care facility with a day of painting and art.
"To mark Monet's birthday last week, residents of the Peninsula Village gathered for a cozy indoor celebration," said chief executive Mr Colin Osborne.
"We dived into the world of art through blow painting-a lovely activity perfect for a rainy day.
"The rain outside couldn't dampen our spirits as we unleashed our inner artists and let the colours flow.
"From vibrant swirls to abstract masterpieces, each stroke was a celebration of Monet's timeless influence."
