Patchwork group has busy month
Ettalong Beach Arts and Craft Centre's Monday patchwork group has had a busy month.
Finished projects have included a "bug jar" quilt, a raspberry and purple quilt, and a Halloween quilt, themed front and back.
Another member has made a "fiddle quilt" for a friend who is experiencing memory loss and confusion.
"So much thought has gone in to each little section of the quilt," said tutor Ms Penny Howard.
Another member has made a bundle of eight quilts that she is donating to a local charity .
Thinking ahead to Christmas, another member brought in her Christmas-themed table runner.
The class has had an in-house workshop on making a child's simple drawstring backpack.
"They are a great idea for a christmas gift," said Ms Howard.
