Girls finish fifth in North Sydney touch football finals
The Open Girls touch football team from Brisbane Water Secondary College Woy Woy has finished fifth out of 42 schools in the 2023 Sydney North Finals Gala Day.
They travelled to Adcock Park to participate in the finals, after winning their opening two knockout games 15-0 and 11-0 earlier in the year
The girls lost to some strong Sydney schools at the start of the day but won their remaining two games 5-0 and 4-3 to narrowly miss out on the semi-finals.
"The girls played extremely well and displayed exceptional school spirit and sportsmanship throughout the year and should be proud of their efforts," said Woy Woy campus principal Ms Rebecca Cooper.
