The Peninsula has received just 18.3mm of rain for September, the third lowest in 19 years.

The total is 73.1 per cent below the month's average rainfall of 68mm, according to figures supplied by Mr Jim Morrison of Umina.

The month's rain has brought the year's total to 564.2mm which is just over half of the average total of 1055mm at the end of September.

This is the second lowest cumulative total for the month in 19 years, with 2018 being the only year to have a lower Septembre cumulative total with 550mm.
