New breakfast offering at Lions car boot sale

The Woy Woy Peninsula Lions Club has extended its breakfast barbecue offering at its car boot sale on Sunday, April 30.

The club is offering bacon and eggs rolls as well as sausages on rolls at the sale, held from 7am to 1pm at the Dunban Rd carpark at the corner of Ocean Beach Rd, Woy Woy.

"We also have cold drinks and there is a coffee truck available," said club president Mr Greg Head.

Mr Head said the club was expecting an increase in the demand for stalls and attendance by the general public over the next couple of autumn months.

Those attending would find a variety of stallholders offering many varied items for sale, he said.

Mr Head said the club had run the car boot sale for more than 20 years, the last 10 years at the current location.

He said that, while the council now charged for the use of the area, it had "now delivered first class amenities which has made a big difference to the members and public".

"We raise about $1200 per sale depending on numbers and weather

"All these funds are disbursed locally to various organisations and the public as needed to help their worthy causes," said Mr Head.

"Vendors are welcome, at a cost of $25 per car.

"We are always welcoming new and returning stallholders to our event."

Stall sites are not open until 6:30am, said Mr Head.
