Tickets on sale for music scholarship concert

Tickets are on sale for the Pearl Beach Music Scholarship Concert to be held on Saturday, May 20.

The concert is presented by the Pearl Beach Progress Association and performed by students from the Central Coast Conservatorium.

Sessions are held form 11am-12:30pm for the Junior Showcase and Scholarship Concert and from 2:30-5pm for the Irvine Family Piano and Pearl Beach Senior Music Scholarships, with tickets costing $15.

The concerts are an opportunity for Conservatorium students to perform for the community, and deliver their best performances.

The junior students will perform on solo instrument and vocals and is not competitive.

For senior students, winners receive the Irvine Family Piano Scholarship, and the Pearl Beach Music Scholarship valued at $1000 each.

There is also a People's Choice award and a runner-up prize.

The day will end with a performance by past Scholarship winner Aaron Carey.
